Written after the passing of my father, “Beyond the Veil” was born from a simple question:
Why is there so little music that celebrates a life… instead of only mourning a loss?
Co-written in the hills of Málaga, Spain with Mo Pleasure and Simon Ashworth, the song is told from the perspective of the one who has crossed over — not gone… just beyond the veil.
Blending soulful jazz, gospel warmth, cinematic storytelling, and uplifting harmonies, the final production with Tim Howarth became something deeply reflective, healing, and hopeful.
